With the trend of rising energy costs, IT Mall Zone A consumed energy of approximately 2,760,072 kWh in year 2008. With Comfort's strength in equipment and system optimisation, we initiated an energy conservation program to convert the original Water Cooled Package Unit to Chilled Water system resulting to a reduction of energy cost by more than 50%. IT Mall has been awarded the Thailand Energy Award of Excellence Energy Manager in 2009 and Energy Conservation Team work (Control Building) in 2010.
Some of the measures implemented include:
- Water Cooled Package Units (WCPU) converted to Chilled Water System by modifying existing coils and integrating with building existing Chilled Water System
- VSD for Cooling Towers and Pumps at WCPU Plant Room
- Reconditioned 3 existing Chillers
