Ngee Ann City, a massive shopping and office complex that stands prominently at the heart of Orchard Road, is operating initially with a high power consumption of approximately 43 million kWh annually. Ngee Ann City with the help of experts from Comfort Management, succeeded to optimise the energy consumption and achieve significant energy savings.
Solutions that have been implemented across Ngee Ann City includes:
- Replacement of existing water chillers with energy efficient ones
- Sub-cooling of existing chillers
- Replacement of all chilled and condenser water pumps
- Replacement of existing lighting
- Installation of green features such as energy consumption monitoring systems
- Conversion of primary-secondary chilled water system to primary only by obsolete 30 nos of secondary chilled water pumps
- Replacement of retail AHUs' cooling coil and blower to efficient units and improved the airflow
- Introduced the intelligent control system to operate plant room efficiently
- Demand car park ventilation system
